Hitachi Astemo Aftermarket Germany GmbH, formerly Hitachi Automotive Systems Espelkamp GmbH, is one of the leading partner of electrical and electronic automotive parts in the Aftermarket. The steadily growing portfolio includes products from the fields of electronics, sensors, steering, fuel delivery, engine management and chassis. As the regional competence center for Hitachi Astemo’s Aftermarket activities in the EMEA region, Hitachi Astemo Aftermarket Germany takes care of development, manufacturing, sales and logistics from its headquarters in Germany.
In the beginning of 2021, Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd. completed a business integration with Keihin Corporation, Showa Corporation and Nissin Kogyo Co. to form Hitachi Astemo, Ltd. The new name describes the mission of the integrated company, as Astemo is an abbreviation for "Advanced Sustainable Technologies for Mobility", "to provide a safe, sustainable, and comfortable mobility life through technologies that contribute to an advanced and sustainable society". In future, customers benefit from six strong brands: Hitachi, HÜCO, Tokico, Showa, Nissin and Keihin.
