On the other hand, worn shock absorbers can cause the vehicle to roll more in corners, can increase the risk of losing grip on wet roads and cam reduce the driver's overall sense of control.
When should they be checked?
There is no single replacement interval that applies to every vehicle, as wear depends on driving style, road conditions and the loads the vehicle regularly carries.
However, many manufacturers recommend having the suspension system inspected periodically, especially once the vehicle has covered a significant mileage, or begins to show some of the symptoms mentioned above.
